Model Number: CT227N8 Brand: Thermador Age: More than 10 years
These older ovens are in excellent shape and have been used very little. Heat elements will not go on even though selected temperatures and mode are indicated. Checked for proper voltage and manual reset breakers. Seems problem is with motherboard, no signs of damage or burned contacts. Appreciate any input and to the availability of parts for this oven.

The first thing I would check is the high temperature cutout (#18 on the body and deflector bracket break down diagram).
It is resettable. Just push in the red button. Good luck. Gene.

Thanks for your response Gene. I did check the high temperature cutouts during my initial troubleshooting. There are two located behind a side panel. Both were in and not tripped. I still think the problem exists in the Main Relay Board. ( I called this a motherboard). Bosch now owns Thermador. Are replacement kits available for this double oven unit? I notice that Bosch does have control kits that include a relay board and display for later ovens (Bosch part# AP3382408) I could not locate a relay board on your attached schematics for CT227N8 Thanks |

The next part I would check is the sail switch or the air interlock switch (#2 on the plenum assembly break down diagram).
This is a normally open switch which should get closed with the air pressure from the blower. You can bypass this switch for the test purpose. - The part number for the sail switch is AP2831958 Gene.
