Brand: GE Model Number: GSD900X-03BA Main Symptom: broken spray arm tower. Dishes not getting clean What happens & when: dishes are not clean. Always. Lower spray arm tower is broken. The replacement part is got does not fit. Maybe I need an adaptor. Or a different part. The replacement spray arm cannot attach to pump housing. The old spray arm attaches with a screw in the center. The new spray arm has threads on the base.
Parts or tests already tried: WD22X154 - does not fit.
Photos / video link: photos show current set-up with old broken part.
This is the correct tower section and if it is not fitting properly then it sounds like another part may be keeping it from working due to damage. The part that you should get is the spray arm kit.
Ok, I was looking at getting this one instead. Is the small cylinder piece like an adaptor to fit into the base of the spray arm system i currently have?
This is what it looks like inside the base of the existing piece. I dont see a way to remove it, i tried twisting it but it doesnt budge. I dont want to break it.
Wow….. customer service is definitely getting a call tomorrow because they refused to give me any instructions, and kept telling me that it’s impossible that the first piece I ordered didn’t fit. This forum has been 10x more helpful.
Too bad I’m physically unable to move the dishwasher so this was all a waste of time and money
Thanks bigbuck, you helped more than appliance pros
It actually looks like the lower piece that is the darker part is sticking up too high. See if there is a way that it will slide down in there further.
