I have a Kenmore 363.9701711 which is made by GE. Originally I was getting no water to the ice maker. I replaced the water inlet valve. After that water was going to the icemaker but would not shut off. I replaced the ice maker thinking that may be the problem. Still water will not shut off to the ice maker. Any further help would be appreciated.

I just replaced the inlet water valve and that did not solve my problem.
I was thinking it was the timer and was cotemplating of replacing the ice maker. sounds like that did not solve your problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. my timer doesn't seem to be turning inside the freezer

Have you replaced the ice maker with a brand new? What is the part number of the new ice maker?

Would the water shut off if you turn off the ice maker?

Would the water shut off if you remove the wires from the water inlet valve?

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

What was the original problem?

Which timer did you mean?

The new ice maker is Replacement Ice Maker Kit for GE Refrigerator/Freezers (RIM300).

Actually when I dissconnected wires from the inlet valve the water still runs to the ice maker. At no time is it a stream of water, the water runs slow almost a fast drip.

Sounds like the problem is a bad water inlet valve which does not close all the way. Did you use the OEM part as a replacement?

- The water inlet valve Part number: AP3189335
Part number: AP3189335

I do not see anything else what could cause it.
