My dishwasher does not have enough pressure to wash, nothing gets clean especially the top rack. I looked and it is missing the valve check on the spray assembly base. Should I replace this valve or replace the entire spray arm assembly? Also, does a new spray arm assembly include the valve? And how do I replace either part?

Check the water level inside the dishwasher. Make sure the pop up tower (on the bottom of the picture) is not broken off and all holes in the spray arm are not blocked. Post the results. Gene.

the tower is there and pops up, and all the holes are clear with water running through when on. There is just hardly any pressure. The water barely gets to the top of the dishwasher.

This is the part it is missing. They call it the check valve? With this valve gone does water run out of the base of the spray arm and reduce pressure?
