The only time timer gives me power is on the cool-down cycle of the perm press cycle, with the one switch to yes! Checked continuity of all sensors and safty as well as resistance of heating coils, all good! My guess is timer or motor switch. I cleaned out all the lent thought it was an over temp switch but doesn't seem to be. I'd be grateful for any help, it my Step-Mom's and she needs dry clothes for her 90'th Birthday the 27th of this month!. Thanks!

I'm afraid I did not get it clear: Quote:...with the one switch to yes!... Gene.

It's the Press Guard Switch turned to yes.

Very likely the problem is a bad timer, but I can not say I'm positive about it because I do not have the wiring diagram for this model. - The timer Part number: AP2042833
Gene. P.S. Have you checked the resistor (#148 on the diagram)?

Yes, I believe it was 3.7k Ohms. When I checked the Resistor it was still in the circuit as were the sensors, limits and safety when checked for continuity . Is there a way to check the timer switch on or off the machine? Thanks, Joe

Here are scans of the diagrams that were in the dryer.
