Problem: No Heat

Dryer does turn on and tumble.
Timer does not advance during timed dry or automatic dry.
I have tried it with the venting disconnected.
I have verified that the outlet has 240 VAC.
Heater circuit never gets 240 VAC.
What I think is the Thermal cutoff "non resettable" has continuity.

As I understand it the timer will not advance in auto dry if the clothes are not getting dry.

Should this timer advance in timed dry ?

If your dryer is less than a year old, it should be under the manufacturer warranty. Do not do anything and call Amana for service.
