I have a Maytag side by side refrigerator that is not cooling properly. I measured 45 def F with an HVAC thermomiter with the control turned all the way up. The freezer is freezing and it is making ice properly. The Freezer control is set at about 5.5 out of 9. I measured 6 deg in the freezer. I cleaned the condenser and checked the evaporator coil for freezing. There was none , so it appears like it is defrosting. The only other possibilities I see is the cooling control or something wrong with the compressor or freon. Any ideas?

Check if the cold air is coming through the damper and you are available to adjust the air flow with the "Refrigerator temperature" lever.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag refrigerator Model MSD2756GEW
