Kenmore Dryer Mod. 110.62952100. Age - unknown - over 5 years. Problem (running in Timed Dry and High Temp): 1. Dryer would stop with approximately 45 minutes left in cycle (restarting with and dryer would finish cycle or 2. Dryer would finish cycle in less time than set on timer dial and clothes would not be dry.
Replaced timer and all was OK for 4-5 weeks then old problems returned.
Could the replacement timer have failed on its on or is another fault in the dryer causing the problem? Please comment.

I would check for a burnt wire, could be anywhere, like the main power connections, timer and thermostat wires.
