I am about to order a replacement "7" ribbon element" and since I will have it apart I am also going to order a new "limiter" for the burner. Are chances good that that will fix the problem? Thanks

Thanks You do not have to order a new limiter because it comes with a new element. I would check for continuity the infinite switch for this burner.
