One of the large burners has stopped working on my glass top stove. What should I check first?

super capacity 465 is not a model number, pull out oven drawer ,where drawer meets frame there is a sticker on frame that says model number+ serial number

Was there an answer to this post? I have the same problem on a 2002 Amana glass cooktop stove.

I have an Amana glass stove top (Model AK2H30HR)which just has a burner that no longer works. I am about to order a replacement "7" ribbon element" and since I will have it apart I am also going to order a new "limiter" for the burner. Are chances good that that will fix the problem? Thanks

badabing and car62,

If you are looking for professional advice then you have to post the complete model number of the product and most possible description on the problem.

You do not have to order a new limiter because it comes with a new element. I would check for continuity the infinite switch for this burner.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for AMANA AK2H30HR | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thanks, Gene. I can check the continuity of the switch. However, the "burner on" indicator light does go on. Is it a two or a single pole switch? Don

It is a two pole switch.
