My problem started with the fill tube shoot freezing up down the backside of the freezer and then leaking water everywhere but the ice maker. I took the entire thing apart following every online guide before finding this site only to have it now fill the ice tray with water and then not shut off. Somewhere there must be a defective valve or water level sensor that tells it when the ice tray is full and it continues to fill the tray and flood the freezer. I have checked the water pressure and did notice that the problem started after PGE shut off our water main and power during a freak accident that they had to repair (my home sits on the street’s underground box entrance) and without warning me prior to disruption of water and power, I was unable to shut off the ice maker prior to the change in water pressure. I have checked the filter, all fill tubes, unplugged and reinserted the valve splitter and have even made a contraption to deflect the direct cold airflow towards the actual freezer instead of directly upward toward the fill tube which seem to have solved the problem of the tube freezing up too quickly- if I don't fix this my husband may actually offer to help and that would be so wrong! Any ideas?
