The motor won't run. Test shows motor low current. Motor windings show ok. Which would be the most possable: the washer control electronic card or the thermsistor?

Here are your parts includes the wiring diagram Replacement parts for MAYTAG MDB7130AWW Dishwasher - Undercounter | AppliancePartsPros.comI cannot find technical info on this unit. The motor won't run. Test shows motor low current. Motor windings show ok. I am assuming you checked the windings with a meter. Which would be the most possable: the washer control electronic card or the thermsistor? The thermistor should not effect the motor, it is just temperature sensing. Could be the control board or the motor. I am assuming that you have checked the motor and it rotates freely. I would do a live test. If the wash and main windings are getting 120 volts when they should then the motor is the probable cause. Just be very very careful. 120 volts shouldn't kill you but when you yank your hand back odds are you will loose some skin !! Also I have you checked the winding's resistance to it's case. It is possible that one of them has shorted to the case and this blew the board. |
