I have an older Maytag stacked washer/dryer LSE7806ACE that has been very reliable. Just a few weeks ago, the washer stopped working while the dryer still worked fine. It turned out to be a bad lid switch and fuse. I replaced both and the washer worked good as new. Today I was washing a fairly heavy load that went off-balance causing the machine to stop. I rebalanced the load but it wouldn't restart. I read that an unbalanced load can blow the lid switch, so I checked both of the lid switches again and also the fuse and all test good. The washer does not respond in any cycle and has some sitting water. I don't know what else to check.
