Just finished 7 loads of laundry, and on the last one, the tub wouldn't drain. We checked the drains, and they don't appear to be clogged. So, before we go and buy parts we may not need, how do you determine if the pump is bad, or is there something else that may be involved?
TIA, joanne

Hi Joanne
We might be able to help you but we need the complete model number of your washer.

Hi lizclo
One of the most common cause of such problem is a unbalanced load. If your washer is shaking during the spin cycle it never will go on full speed. The first thing check if the washer is leveled, then if you see it's shaking, open the lid and redistribute the garments inside.
If it does not work then I need the complete model number of your washer. You can find it under the lid.
Good luck. Gene.

Hi lizclo
Are you sure the problem is the washer and not the dryer? If the dryer vent is clogged up, it takes much longer time to dry. Try to disconnect the vent hose from the back of the dryer and run a couple loads to see how long it takes.
Good luck. Gene.
