My refrigerator/freezer is not cooling. I cleaned the condenser coils, which has worked in the past, but didn't help this time. I listened, and heard clicking on the #801 main board when I adjust the temperature controls for the fridge and freezer. How do I tell if the compressor is running? Should it be making a low humming noise? What would be the next troubleshooting steps?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Gain access to the compressor by removing the cardboard backing on the unit. You will be able to fill a vibration when you touch it if it's running. The coils near there should be warm. . Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
