Gene, P. S. The meat control lever is off. Do you think it is the Fan motor. If so is that the only part to replace?

Gene, I just wanted to thank you for your advice. I ordered a new damper assembly based on your advice, and replaced it Friday, and haven't had any issues with it since then. Based on previous experience, I think I would know if that wasn't the answer by now. Saved me a $$$ service call, which would have definitely impacted the holidays.
Thanks again, and happy holidays!

Charles, Sorry for the delay. If the fan is not blocked with snow, then it has to be replaced. It is recommended by GE pros and proven with many repairs that the fan motor has to be replaced together with the main control board (on the back of the refrigerator). Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the defrost system parts and excessive snow is result of the broken fan motor. - The evaporator fan motor (with thermistor) Part number: AP3191003
