i just replaced my oven bake element and the main circuit board, and its still not working, what happend was the element broke and we replaced it, and when we did it shorted out the circuit board due to the wire that goes to the element hiting the metal on the back of the stove, now we raplaced the element and circuit borad cuz it was fried. and every thing works except the bake element and the stove eyes. i took ia circuit tester and its getting ground to everything but its only getting fire to the white and yellow wires not the red ones. i was just wondering if maybe it shorted the wire somewhere that went from the element to the circuit board.

Check to see if you have correct voltage to the range. The best way to do so is to leave it plugged in but pull the plug out just enough to get the leads of the meter in. You should get 240V across the two flat plugs and 110V from each flat plugs to the plug in the middle. What I think may have happen is when it shorted out it either caused a loose connection in the switch box or the plug or if you have fuses you may have blown one of the fuses. Even if you have breakers sometimes one side can trip and the other doesn’t. Always Disconnect Power Before Repairs!! Range Repair Guide

I believe the problem is a loose connection somewhere. Either where the cord connects to the range, in the plug or in the switch box. Possibly at the bake unit because sometimes the line will feed from the cord to the bake then to the rest of the over. Take the back off the range and look for a loose wire or connection.
