My wife tried to get the self cleaning oven to clean. She closed the door and latched it. Turned on both knobs to clean, but nothing happened except that the latch locked up and now we cannot get the oven door open because the thing hasn't gone full cycle. How do I get in to what I need to access the goodies to make make things happen like they should?

What kind of the door latch is on the oven - manual or electric motor?
What kind of the clock - digital or analog?
What kind of the oven it is - built in or freestanding?
Gene.

Got it. Removed the fan switch cover above the mechanism and released the catch mechanism. The operating cam had fallen off the lever assembly, so I had to replace it and glue it in place. Seems to be working O.K. now, so we'll see how long the glue job lasts. Thanks for the reply. This is a freestanding stove with a manual latch and an analog clock.

I'm glad you were able to fix it.
