GE side by side GS22VGMD WW not maintain temps.

Freezer has ice on back wall - temps around 32-33 range.
Fridge is around 48-50 degrees.

Compressor runs, evap fan runs.

I suspect defroster heater, defrost thermostat, or motherboard problem.

Anyone have the t/s manual and part numbers?

Procedures to test each part would also help. I assume I can do a continuity check on the heater and thermostat (when cold/near freezing temps). Anyway to check the motherboard?

Gene,

Manually defrosted coils and heater shows no continuity. I read bohemians comments about disassembling the heater - trying that now but will order new heater for $30 to ship friday. The manual defrost should get me through the holiday. Hope this solves this problem without having to order the mother board.
