My 27 inch model 110.60942990 Kenmore Elite dryer no longer generates any heat. All other functions seem to work properly. I can't see how to access the heating element. Need a diagram and any troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Access this dryer's stuff by dropping the kick plate. Use a putty knife to release the springclips atop dat kick plate. Note: you cannot access this dryer from the rear A manual that features this type dryer.:D page 15 shows an illustration of how to remove dat toe panel all propah.

You may want to check that you have 240 volts. Turn the breaker off/on a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without tripping the breaker and the heater requires the full 240. Better yet measure it with a meter. |

If dryer is getting 240v check Thermal fuse and Thermal Cutoff (for continuity) and heating element also for continuity. One or all may need replaced (any of those that do not show continuity go ahead and replace). Fuses and Heating elem usually blow out because of restricted airflow in vent hose.
