The dryer will not start. Setting the mode switch to all positions and turning the on knob on results in nothing. No sounds nothing. The light in the drum works and the breaker has not been tripped. The vent is clear. Suspect the on off switch or the timer being bad at this junkture. I guess I need some guidance as to where to look next. Thank you

Here are your parts Parts for Estate TEDS780JQ0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the wiring diagram. The part at the top of the list would be the thermal fuse (item 7 in section 03). Unplug the unit and check the fuse with a meter, should be 0 ohms. If blown be sure to check/clean your vent system as that is the most common cause of it blowing. Would also be a good idea to check/clean the blower wheel. |
