would like to know what causes water to seep in after dishwasher is completely done and not on.

If the water is clean and warm/hot then your water valve is probably not sealing correctly and should be replaced.

I believe the following is the correct valve for your unit.
Part number: AP2135535
Part number: AP2135535


If the water is soapy/dirty then it could be a problem with the drain hose set-up.
