The bottom warming drawer in our oven (Frigidaire GLGS389FQ) has gone flaky. I can turn it on, and sometimes it will heat up, sometimes not. When it is on, it will sometimes stay on, and sometimes turn itself off, even though the on light stays on, and this is regardless of what heat setting it is on.

What am I checking for this unit? Conductivity? Thermostat?

If you could link me the relevant diagrams and what checks I should run, I can take it apart and replace the components that out faulty.

Appreciate the help,

Lewis

You seem to be missing the last digit in the model number.
Please check it.

On most units this often does not make a difference but on this one it looks like A, B or E ranges are wired differently.

I found the missing letter on the side label in the oven. It wasn't on the order or manual. It is GLGS389FQA

I found the missing letter "A" at the end. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire GLGS389FQA Range - AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the wiring diagram
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...assomption/318271932.pdf

The wiring diagram is sort of useless.

I would check the wiring first.

If all OK then odds are that it is a control board problem just because of the different symptoms
you see.

Here is a wiring diagram from them if I do not put in the last letter.
I am not sure how applicable it is but at least is is a decent diagram.
