Four days ago my dryer quit drying clothes. Everything worked fine except I had no heat. I tested the components with my meter and found out the high temperature cut out was bad. I replaced part and now my heating element stays on. Element will turn off if i turn setting to air fluff. Element tests at 10 ohms and is infinite on each side of the coil to the frame. I took out element and could not find anywhere it was touching the housing. Any ideas? thanks for the responses

I think the model number you posted is a part number. Please post the model number. Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.comCould be the cycling thermostat is not opening. Also on most units when the thermal cut-off is blow you also have to replace the high limit thermostat. The cut-off is a backup device for the high limit. |
