My refrigerator is warm but the freezer side is freezing. The condenser coil is frozen up. I changed the defrost thermostat. It did not help. The condenser fan is running only in short bursts but sometimes will run for about a minute before returning to the short bursts. I tried another fan motor and it did the same thing. Would a bad defrost timer board cause this problem?

A model number may help others help you.
I think you are getting the evaporator coil and fan mixed up with the condenser coil and fan. The evaporator is in the freezer.
Yes it could be the defrost board if the unit uses one. |
