i have a ge side by side fridge/freezer and don't know which teminal to put the timer motor lead on before i connect the defrost timer.

A Model Number may help others help you. Take a look behind the kick plate, under the unit or on the back to see if you can find a wiring diagram. Note: it is a GE so the chance of finding tech info on the net is slim. GE likes to keep that info secret. The wiring colors may also help get an answer.
