The dryer lights are displyed on the panel and door closes completely on the switch. When the Start button is pushed, I can hear a "click" sound but the dryer does not start. Ideas on what needs checked?

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag MED6400TB0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. I am also assuming that the interior light works. This tells you that you have the voltage (L1 to Neutral, 120 volts) to run the motor. First I would check that the belt is OK re: belt switch is closed Next I would check the thermal fuse. |

Denman, thanks for your reply and suggestions. It was the thermal fuse. Replaced it this evening and dryer is once again running. Thanks again for your help. I had the same thing on my dryer. I found on another forum that the relay was working on the circuit board but that the solder connection on the backside of the relay was blown out. I resoldered it and we are back in business. Here is the link to the whole thread. My repair was on page 2 , but read page one first. :rolleyes:good luck gleeson attached the following image(s):
