There does not seem to be power to compressor. I used a voltmeter on the compressor to check. I tried a 3 in 1 hard start also. This model does not have a defrost timer. Is there a way to test if the compressor is good or should I try a new motherboard?

Hi.

Use the multimeter to check continuity between three compressor's pins and then to the ground. If there is continuity between all three pins and nothing to the ground - compressor is most likely good.If any of the windings are open, compressor is bad.

Locate the control board cover at the back of the fridge on the right, remove it , locate 3 wire plug on the left and J7 plug next to it.

With the fridge running check for 120VAC between the contact marked COMP and pin 9 of the J7(white).

If there is no proper voltage - replace the control board

There are a start and a run windings inside the compressor's motor. Open winding means - no continuity between any of the three pins (contacts).

Tested compressor as you said to do. It tested good. Main board showed no voltage on pins you said to check. Replaced with new board and started right up. Noticed burned solder on back of old board. Thank you!
