Hi Guys
I am laid off and need to fix my own dryer
I am just a girl - but I know I can do it
I have several pairs of baseball and football pants that need drying

The dryer won't heat any more
What should I check first
Thanks

Linda

The first thing that always should be checked before
you start suspecting any parts on the dryer is
the source voltage where the cord hooks up to the
back of the unit. But before doing any of this the
question needs to be asked, have you ever done
any sort of electrical testing before?

The cord is secure. What should I check next.

That's great, but it has to be established whether or not it's actually receiving
correct AC voltage. A Volt meter needs to be used to verify if 240 volts is present at the two outside leads where the cord attaches to the dryer.
