My dryer will not produce heat. The voltage at the plug is 240VAC. I have checked for continuity of the heating element, the thermal cutoff, and the thermal fuse. All are closed. There is no voltage at the heating element leads. I have pulled the thermistor and found that it is open at room temperature and when I heat it up with a hair dryer. I tried shorting out the thermistor leads, but the element still does not heat up. Went to Sears and checked out the continuity of a new thermistor and it also was open at room temp. Any ideas of what I'm missing?

The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it.

The old one had continuity, but after shorting the wires out, the elements came on, so I knew I had it. Thanks for offering to help.
