Got home to "DE" flashing on our display. I unplugged the refrig for at least 10 minutes, plugged it back in and the code went away but still have issues with my freezer keeping ice cream well frozen and fridge is a little warmer than usual. Investigated more last night and evaporator fan doesn't run. I did remove the back panel of the freezer to manually defrost the coils with a hair dryer (there was consistent frost build up on them, not ice, just "snowy" frost). I didn't have a multimeter to start testing the fan motor, etc...
Questions: 1) How would I test the fan motor on this refrig? 2) where is the defrost timer on this refrig if I need to test that?
(I don't have the wiring diagram for the refrig)
Thanks!

Hi.
You do need the multimeter to test the components. The defrost timer is in the fresh food behind the controls cover. You may find the diagram behind the toe grill in the black envelope.
Please provide the complete model number, missing 4 digits.
Thank you.
Simon.
