I have a GE profile dishwasher about 2 months out of warranty. The Dishwasher does not drain completely like when it was new. It leaves about a 1/2-1 inch of water at end of cycle. It is draining some water just not completedly. I checked the drain hose for obtructions, made sure the drain hose loop was above disposer connection, cleaned the sump- did find paper and some food particles still no complete drain. My quess is something is partialy blocking the pump. any thoughts are appreciated. Rich

reply to my own post. I removed water from dishwasher and then pulled dishwasher. I flipped DW over and checked drain hose for obstructions found none. I next removed clamp holding drain pump. When I inspected I found an obstruction in the pump and back flow flapper A piece of plastic and vegtables. Cleaned out and reinstalled pump and reinstalled DW. Unit works like new. Most time consuming part was un-installing and reinstalling DW. This was an easy job. Like to say I saved $300. Technician would have charged me for a service call and most lilely a new pump.
