Yesterday the thaw began. The fan runs and every 4-5 minutes, the condenser tries to kick on but doesn't.
The fan does run continuously. Any ideas?

The fan does run continuously. Any ideas? I have to correct the above, I mispoke, it's the compressor. I would appreciate the help.

Look at the compressor in the back. If hot, but not vibrating, pull off the start device on the side. If it rattles, it's bad, order a new one on this site.

When plugged in, after a while, the compressor got warm towards the top and would vibrate only when trying to start. Does this still seem like the starter?
