My Maytag gas dryer ignites the gas and then clicks off after 10 seconds or so of flame; continues that cycle every 45 seconds, forever. I've checked continuity on all the thermostats and fuses, and the coils, and everything checks out ok. Fuses, thermostats and radiant sensor all show continuity, and the two coils show the right amount of resistance across the terminals.

I even took off the vent hose to ensure there was no restriction in air, and it's blowing lots of air.

What am I looking for? Everything is clean and the air is blowing well. I also checked the seal, and it looks good and tight. I did - based on other feedback here - bypass the hi-limit thermostat, and it worked great. Bypassing the other fuses and thermostats didn't help though.

Any other ideas?

High limit thermostat consists of two by-metal contacts inside, which provide continuity while are cold. They should break the circuit at some certain temperature to prevent dryer overheat. Looks like it does not work properly anymore.
