How did you install the new belt? How freely the motor goes forth and back on its mounting plate? Remove the belts and check how the drive pulley moving in both directions. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Maytag LAT9316AAE WASHER-TOP LOADING \| AppliancePartsPros.com Gene. P.S. It's much better to replace both belts at the same time.
