I have a 6 year old kenmore dishwasher.It fills with water and then drains

my kenmore dishwasher fills up and then drains.It does nothing else.any ideas what to look for?

the manual says 665.1367,on the inside of door it says 13679k600
|

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Kenmore 66513679K600 | AppliancePartsPros.comThe Sears site does have part breakdown diagrams, just search for your model using 665.13679K600. They like to keep the diagrams to themselves. Here is a manual which may apply. there is not a cross reference from Sears to the actual manufacturer (in this case Whirlpool) os I have to guess. The link is fora unit that uses the same control board. http://appliancejunk.com...&id=229;t=1335092855 You may have to join the site to get the manual. Try different cycle to see if this always happens. Check for any error code indications. Is it filling and then emptying or emptying while filling? Open up and clean the main pump. |

totally shut the unit down (turn of circuit breaker) let it power down then restart the unit to see if it will start up. You did not mention if it was digital control panel or not. also your diverter valve that allows the dirty water to drain after washing may be stuck open.
