First check to make sure you have 120v to each side of the connection block. Then unplug the machine and check continuity on the thermal fuse/thermostats. Finally check the door switch and the heating coil.

Good luck.

part number needed. la-1053. that is thermal fuse kit. it is located where the element is. it has 2 white wires coming to it. also take the front off, and clean the blower assem, bly on the bottom, it is all full of lint, which is why it blew the fuse. tom www.applianceeducator.com/parts.htm:cool:

The large screw that holds down the heating element also holds a clip that keeps the fuse
(thermal limit top right) on the side of the heater chamber. If that blower wheel gets loose or their is a lint buildup then that fuse will blow and kill the dryer.

There we go. Some more pictures, with instruction. Maybe, I should give the instruction, and you provide the piuctures. I am not a picture guy, but they are awesome with instruction. Keep up the good work. Tom www.applianceeducator.com:cool:
