I have a Thermador PCS366US cooktop which is in need of a replacement ignitor. I can find the part but am not sure how to install it. Is it a difficult lob? Are there any instructions (step-by-step) available?

Igniter replacement is easy, but Thermador/Bosch stopped making the igniters and the replacement igniters require you to change out the star burner assemblies. Replacement:
Remove grate Remove star burner top plate Use a 15/16 box wrench to remove the center brass retaining ring on venturi. Can use the special tool, but a 15/16 box wrench works and can be also turned with a crescent wrench if the ring is stuck Lift the star burner base plate and grasping the clip on the end of the wire, pull the wire off the igniter electrode. On the bottom side of the igniter under the base plate, use needle nose pliers to remove the C-clip that retains the igniter. Pull the igniter electrode out through the top of the base plate. Install new electrode and reassemble in reverse order.
