I read article on continuity testing. The element read 11.6 on digital meter, the high limit thermostat read .6 on meter. The dryer does not heat but runs. Which item should I try to replace?

Check your thermal fuse on the side of the heater housing, must remove heater to access, probably bad, AP4242472 comes as a kit. Replace both thermal fuse and overload thermostat on top of the heater.

Thanks, that was fast. I ordered the kit and I am hoping that will take care of it.
