The above model dryer with S/N 1406025874 was given to me for repair even though it heats and turns the drum OK. The unit was dismantled and checked for problems as I normally do. The top wire connector was severely damaged from internal heat at the connector where it attaches to the terminal for the heater assembly. It was burned and the insulation partially broken off the wire for about 3". I have seen this problem quite a few times before on this model electric dryer and am asking other techs if they have seen it and if there is a reason it shows up only on the top connecting wire. Any info as to the probable cause ?
