I just boughte replacement water valve and the new one has push in connections for water lines and old one had screw on connectors. How do I make new one work??

Just cut the threaded ends off and insert into new valve. Depress the ring to get it back out.

the water lines from fridge are the ones with the threaded nut, if i cut it off then what will keep it from leaking? also the water lines have a pointed tip.

The new valve has the new quick release type connectors and it will seal when you push the cut off tube into it firmly.
