I have ordered the control panel kit, followed the instructions EXACTLY by adding the suppressor (as instructed item 1 thru 12) replacing the control board (microcomputer) (as instructed item 13), removed jumper P3 from the old board and placing it on the new board (per item 14). After completing all steps per the instruction sheet for replacing microcomputer, the step was to follow the end of service test procedure. Items 1 thru 13 were followed EXACTLY but after step 13 (press START) the display of "6AS" or "ELE" and one of the product descriptions did NOT display (as noted on the test procedure. I could not continue pressing start to sequence all functions as stated. The oven will not begin normal operation!!! Trying to start the oven, a fault code of F1E3 appears. I remove board again and followed instructions making sure EVERYTHING is properly connected. Same results!!!! At least with my old control board the oven would work sporatically. With the new board , it will not operate. The clock and timer work, stove works but the oven will NOT turn on. The instructions sent with the kit do NOT work. Was I not to install the suppressor or jumper P3? Help would be appreciated because this $300.00 plus part is a waste!! Originally I was told that part #2 and part #10 (as shown on the control parts diagram) fasten together. This is not true!! My oven does not have part #10. Whirlpool and Appliance Part pros and Repair Clinic all said I need both parts. Part #10 is not there and could not physically fit in the control panel space. I am losing faith in all three companies, unless someone can solve this problem.

Quote:Trying to start the oven, a fault code of F1-E3 appears. F1-E3 is suppose to indicate a Configuration mis-match, electric switches or P3 pins 3 to 7 changed since power up. You can read about the jumper configurations to correct that occurrence in the 'tech sheet' for your range at the following link: LINK > KGST307HWH6 'Tech Sheet' I don't know about any of the other instructions as I have never performed that job myself. If you need any further assistance with the replacement part you make have to try contacting Whirlpool directly. JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site =D~~~~~~
