ignitor glows but gas valve will not open. after glowing a short time I hear a click then ignitor will shut off and process repeats. could this be the flame sensor or is their other components that may cause this problem. wash machine was banging against dryer due to uneven load. Could that caused any of this problem.

replaced igniter and coil pack as you recommended. still have no flame. flame sensor ohm check was 84.6. igniter glows then clicks and shuts off then repeats. valves are not chattering any more since new coils were installed but still no flame. please help I have installed parts obove plus motor and belt. Im almost at the cost of a new dryer. In over my head on this one. I have to continue with repair at this piont.

This part is bad. No doubt about it.

Make sure the gas to the dryer is open.

Sometimes (very seldom) the flame sensor can be bad even it shows continuity.

If there is nothing wrong then the problem can be a bad gas valve.
