GE Washer, less that three years old, does not spin, agitator cycle works, water drains, lid switch works. Need help? :confused:

Does the motor run in spin, if not, just temporaraly bypass the lid switch with a piece of wire.

Motor runs, drum doesn't spin, but agitator works

Pull the belt off the tranny pulley and turn the pulley in the spin direction. If very ard to turn you either have something stuck in the tub, or bad/seized tub bearings. You can shine a light in the spin basket to look for stuff.
