I have a Frigidaire Affinity drier that didn't work when I turned it on yesterday. When I try to start it, I get a humming sound and the smell and warmth of the heating element being on, but with no turning of the drum. I checked the belt in the back, and it is securely on the drum and pulleys. The Error Code I get when I run through that diagnostic check shows E68, which signifies a stuck button. If so, how do I determine which one, and how do I unstick it? They all seem to be working fine, by the way. The Function Test Sequence showed everything to be OK with all the LED's.

The first thing I would do is check the motor and the heating element for a short to ground. The heating element should not go "on" if the motor is not running. Hopefully the Service manual will help you to preform the troubleshooting.
