I have a Frigidaire Affinity drier that didn't work when I turned it on yesterday. When I try to start it, I get a humming sound and the smell and warmth of the heating element being on, but with no turning of the drum. I checked the belt in the back, and it is securely on the drum and pulleys. The Error Code I get when I run through that diagnostic check shows E68, which signifies a stuck button. If so, how do I determine which one, and how do I unstick it? They all seem to be working fine, by the way. The Function Test Sequence showed everything to be OK with all the LED's.

The first thing I would do is check the motor and the heating element for a short to ground. The heating element should not go "on" if the motor is not running. Hopefully the Service manual will help you to preform the troubleshooting. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for FRG AEQ6000ES2 | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
