the washer will fill,wash/agitate but won't spin..I have tried moving the controls to other cycles but no spin in any of them at a loss and not knowing if I need to start looking for a new one or if the repair for this one is not as costly..thanks for any help

Hi Cmareck
The first thing you want to do is to by pass the lid switch to see if that is the problem.
To do this you need to take out the two screws that hold the console to the cabinet and then flip up the console. You will see a plastic connector coming from the console and going into the cabinet. Disconnect this and take an insulated wire and place it in the two outside holes of the connector coming from the console. This will by pass your lid switch.
Plug the washer back in (you did unplug it right!) and turn the timer to a spin cycle and engage it. If the washer spins you need to change out the lid switch.
