I have a series 90 kenmore dryer that cuts off after about 10 mins. and then cuts back on. This will happen repeatedly until the timer reaches zero. When it cuts off, the timer continues to click. I have replaced the motor, cleaned the entire dryer of lint and made sure the drum rollers operate freely. The drum seems to rotate easily so ther shouldn't be any excess friction causing the motor to heat up. The exhaust vent is also clear. the only thing I haven't rplaced is the timer. Could a bad timer cause this problem?

Roberson,

I would not expect a timer issue to be the problem, not based on your description. I would expect a voltge issue to the motor, either high or low voltage, will cause the motor overload to open and stop the motor. You may want to test the motor voltage, or amperage while it is running, and make sure the harness wiring is not shorted or pinched.
If you could get us a model number, it would be a great help.

Roberson,

Thanks for the model number, it was a great help.

But the checks you need to make are still the same,

loose connections, pinched or damaged wire harness.

Proper voltage and amperage draw when the motor is running and the heater element is on.
