The parts diagrams don't seem to show the key pad as a part by itself. I did find Consol Assembly AP 3774270 however. The illustration indicates the panel comes complete with the key pad as the green ribbon is visible in the backside picture.

I would like confirmation that this is the correct part to replace a faulty keypad. Thanks

Yes the console assembly (Item 1 in Section 2) is the keypad.

Are you sure it is shot?
The usual way to diagnose these is to check the keys with a meter.
The control board can also cause keys to not work. so it becomes the prime suspect if the keypad checks out OK.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

You may also want to try the following.
Connector Cleaning / Checking
Unplug the unit
Open it up
Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board.
Clean the edge connector.
If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give it a try.

Well, fairly sure. New control panel did not correct anything. Same symptoms as before. Her is what I know at this point.

1-Between lead ends P8 to P7= 116v. Between P2-6 to P&=116v. From this it appears power is reaching control panel and door switch and Float/Overfill switch are ok.

2-From this I guessed that the problem was the Control Panel and got a new unit AP3775998. Wrong assumption! Unit still did not work. Back to the drawing board.

3-Checked the keypad by following the directions in the tech sheet. Did all the 13 Keyswitch Resistance checks and all did not tests failed. No resistance on any of the tests. I used the diode setting on my amp meter and also reversed the leads to make sure I got it right.

4-The tech sheet states after the above testing," If any switches fail this teat, replace the console panel/keypad assembly.

So, from the results of 2 and 3, I concluded it must be the keypad, thus that is what makes me fairly sure. Thanks
