Went to turn on the oven and the bake button not responding. No beep or any sounds and oven not coming on. Broil button also not working along with a few of the buttons on the bottom. Turned off power and turned back on and got these codes EE-214 and MM-214. Some of the keys work - the numbers and the ones near the screen. Would this be the control panel problem everyone is having and if so how do I remove it? Does the top of the oven come off to remove this or are there screws I cannot see somewhere? I see 4 along the bottom that should come off, but there must be more somewhere. I would like to buy the part, but need to know if I will be able to replace myself or not. thanks in advance Chris I believe it is 5years and 1month old.

Hi Chris, Sounds like the problem is a bad control panel. This part is not too difficult to replace if you know how to handle a simple tools. 1. Remove power from the unit. 2. Remove the burner control knobs. 3. Remove the front screws securing the control panel to the chassis. 4. Remove the screws located on the left and the right sides of the control panel. 5. Grasp the control panel on the far left and right sides and gently pull the control panel out and down. NOTE: The electronic control located in the control panel is a sensitive item, handle gently. 6. Label and disconnect wire terminals. 7. Remove the infinite switches, the indicator lights, the rocker switches, and the electronic control and transfer to the control panel. 8. Assemble in the reversed order. - The control panel Part number: AP4367330

Thanks for the quick reply Where are these screws at: "3. Remove the front screws securing the control panel to the chassis. 4. Remove the screws located on the left and the right sides of the control panel." The only screws I can find are the four on the bottom and that doesn't seem to allow the control panel to come free. Are the left and right side screws on top? Do I have to remove the burners and the top piece to access them? There defenitly aren't any screws on the front.

3. Open the oven door to see those screws. 4. You probably have to pull the range out a little bit to access them.

Thanks, you were spot on with those screw locations. I opened it up and took a look, seems simple enough to replace. Is this part returnable if it ends up being the control board instead of the control panel?

You are welcome. I believe it is returnable, but you have to verify it with the APP customer service.

Ok, I figured out how to check the trace's on the ribbon cable with an ohm meter and confirmed that anything associated with the 4 or 5 trace did not have continuity. Would this confirm that the keypad/control panel is the culprit here? I would think this would prove the ribbon cable has a break in it, but even up close I could see nothing wrong with it.

Hello. I do have the same issue: Turned off power and turned back on and got these codes EE-214 and MM-214. It was advised to replace Electronic Control Board Part Number WP8507P233-60. I did replace it but still have the same error code EE-214 M-214. Any ideas? The range is jenn-air-jes9750bas. Edited by user Thursday, May 14, 2020 6:30:20 PM(UTC)
